धृतराष्ट्र ने कहा — जो कुछ भी भीष्म ने युद्ध में अपने पराक्रम से सिद्ध किया, उस विजय की अभिलाषा रखने वाले, शस्त्र-विद्या में निपुण उस वीर ने जो कुछ किया — वह सब मुझे विस्तार से और पूर्ण रूप से बताओ। कुरुओं और पाण्डवों की सेनाओं के बीच युद्ध किस प्रकार हुआ, और जो जैसा घटित हुआ — वह सब कहो।
English Summary
"Dhritarashtra said,— (continued) Whatever was achieved with the aid of energy in the battle by Bhishma desirous of victory,— by that warrior accomplished in arms,— tell me all fully and in detail. How, in fact, the battle took place between the armies of the Kurus and the manner in which each happened.' "
