क्रोधित उलूक को सहदेव ने रोक लिया। उस वीर सहदेव ने शत्रु के चारों अश्वों को मारकर उसके सारथि को भी यमलोक पहुँचा दिया। तब उलूक, जो अपने पिता का प्रिय पुत्र था, रथ से कूदकर, हे राजन्, शीघ्रता से त्रिगर्त-सेना की व्यूह में जा घुसा। सात्यकि ने शकुनि को बीस तीखे बाणों से बेधकर, सुबल-पुत्र की ध्वजा को एक चौड़े फलवाले बाण से सहज ही काट गिराया। तब सुबल का वह वीर पुत्र, हे राजन्, उस संग्राम में क्रोध से भरकर सात्यकि के कवच को बेधकर उसकी सुवर्ण-ध्वजा काट दी। इसके उत्तर में सात्यकि ने उसे अनेक तीखे बाणों से बेधा और, हे नरेश्वर, तीन बाणों से उसके सारथि को आहत किया। फिर अत्यन्त वेग से अन्य बाणों द्वारा शकुनि के अश्वों को यमलोक पहुँचा दिया। तब, हे नरश्रेष्ठ, शकुनि उस महारथी ने शीघ्रता से अपने रथ से उतरकर उलूक के रथ पर आरूढ़ हो गया। उलूक ने तब अपने पिता को सिनि के पौत्र उस रणकुशल योद्धा के सामने से बड़े वेग से दूर ले गया। तत्पश्चात् सात्यकि ने, हे राजन्, उस युद्ध में तुम्हारी सेना पर अत्यन्त प्रचण्ड वेग से आक्रमण किया, जिससे वह सेना टूट गई। सिनि के पौत्र के बाणों से आच्छादित होकर तुम्हारी सेना, हे नरेश्वर, सब दिशाओं में अत्यन्त वेग से भाग खड़ी हुई और प्राणों से रहित होकर धराशायी हो गई।
English Summary
"The angry Uluka was held in check by Sahadeva. Having slain his four steeds, the valiant Sahadeva then despatched his foe's driver to the abode of Yama. Uluka then, that delighter of his father, jumping down from his car, O king, quickly proceeded and entered the division of the Trigartas. Satyaki, having pierced Sakuni with twenty keen arrows, easily cut off the standard of Suvala's son with a broad-headed arrow. The valiant son of Suvala, filled with rage, O king, in that encounter, pierced Satyaki's armour and then cut off his golden standard. Then Satyaki pierced him in return with many keen arrows, and struck his driver, O monarch, with three arrows. With great speed then, he despatched with other shafts the steeds of Sakuni to Yama's abode. Speedily alighting then, O bull among men, from his car, Sakuni, that mighty car-warrior, quickly ascended the car of Uluka. The latter then bore away with great speed his father from Sini's grandson, that warrior skilled in battle. Then Satyaki, O king, rushed in that battle against thy army with great impetuosity, at which that army broke. Shrouded with the arrows of Sini's grandson, thy army, O monarch, fled away on all sides with great speed, and fell down deprived of life.
