ऐसा व्यक्ति उस नाशवान, तुच्छ और अपवित्र वस्तु में — अर्थात् इस शरीर में — सबसे अधिक सुख खोजता है। जो मनुष्य इस भौतिक शरीर के घेरे में विचरते हैं — जो केवल चमड़ी, मांस, रक्त, नसों, चर्बी, मज्जा और हड्डियों से बना है — उनमें और उन कीड़ों में क्या अन्तर है, जो मल, मूत्र और पीप में रहते हैं? इस भेद को भलीभाँति जान लेने के पश्चात्, जिसे पूर्ण आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान प्राप्त हो चुका है, वह न स्त्री से विचलित होता है, न स्त्री-सम्बन्धी किसी विषय से। मन तभी चंचल होता है जब इन्द्रियाँ अपने-अपने विषयों के सम्पर्क में आती हैं। अन्य अवसरों पर वह शान्त ही रहता है। जब तक कोई वस्तु देखी या सुनी न जाए, मन की यह विक्षुब्धता प्रायः उत्पन्न ही नहीं होती। इसीलिए जो साधक अपनी इन्द्रियों को भलीभाँति वश में रखते हैं, उनका मन अविचल और शान्त बना रहता है। इस कारण किसी को भी अपनी इन्द्रियों को स्त्री अथवा स्त्री-सम्बन्धी विषयों से नहीं जोड़ना चाहिए। जो विद्वान् षट् प्रमुख विषयों और कर्तव्यों को जानते हैं, वे इन पर कभी निर्भर नहीं रहते। फिर मुझ जैसे व्यक्ति की तो बात ही क्या, जो सदा मोह के अधीन रहता हूँ? भगवान् ने कहा — यह वचन कहकर राजाधिराज ऐल ने उर्वशी के लोक का परित्याग कर दिया। तत्पश्चात् उन्हें मेरे स्वरूप का बोध हुआ और उन्होंने उसे अपनी आत्मा के साथ एक जान लिया। इस प्रकार उन्होंने उस समस्त मोह को धो डाला, जिसने उनके चित्त को पूर्णतः आच्छादित कर लिया था।
English Summary
Such a kind of person finds greatest gratification in the destructible, worthless and unholy thing, namely, the body. What difference is there between this sort of men, who move within the sphere of material body, that is but consti- tuted of the skin, the flesh, the blood, the veins, the fat, the marrow and the bones ; and the worms, that move within the faeces, the urine and the pus? Having been conscious of this difference, the person with perfect spiritual know- ledge is never moved either by the females or what is femi- nine. The mind becomes agitated only when the different senses come in contact with their objects. On other occa- sions it remains peaceful. The agitation of the mind hardly takes place, unless something be seen or heard. Hence those persons who properly restrain their passions, possesses an unagitated and peaceful mind. For the reason as stated above, no body should connect his senses with the females or with what is feminine. They are never relied upon by the learned men who are conversant with the six principal objects and duties. Then what to say of one like myself, who am ever subject to delusion? The auspicious Lord said :—Having delivered the above speech, king Aila, the lord paramount of all kings, forsook the region of Urvashi.
