इस प्रकार ध्यान करते हुए वह मेरी पूजा करे। घी में उबाली हुई सूखी समिधाओं से आघार नामक दो आहुतियाँ देकर, तत्पश्चात् घी में सिक्त द्रव्यों से प्रत्येक मन्त्र के साथ अन्य प्रधान मन्त्रों का उच्चारण करते हुए होम करे। धर्म आदि देवताओं के निमित्त विशेष मन्त्रों से विधिपूर्वक होम सम्पन्न करके, अग्नि में स्थित देवता की आराधना करे, फिर उन्हें प्रणाम कर उनके सात्त्विक भाव को ध्यान में रखते हुए नैवेद्य समर्पित करे। नारायण-स्वरूप ब्रह्म का स्मरण करते हुए मूल मन्त्र का जप करे। तत्पश्चात् आचमन के लिए जल देकर, पूजा के पुष्प और नैवेद्य का एक भाग विश्वक्सेन को अर्पित करे, और शेष स्वयं ग्रहण करे। फिर सुगन्धित ताम्बूल समर्पित कर मेरे गुणों का गान करते हुए, नृत्य करते हुए, मेरी लीलाओं का अभिनय करते हुए, मेरी कथाएँ सुनते और दूसरों को सुनाते हुए मेरी आराधना करे, और कुछ काल तक शान्तचित्त होकर प्रतीक्षा करे। तत्पश्चात् प्राचीन एवं सामान्य स्तोत्रों से — चाहे वे बड़े हों या छोटे — मेरी स्तुति करते हुए मुझे प्रणाम करे और कहे — "हे प्रभो, मुझ पर प्रसन्न होइए।" मेरे चरणों में मस्तक रखकर और दोनों हाथों से क्रमशः उन्हें स्पर्श करते हुए कहे — "हे प्रभो, मृत्यु के भय से और संसार-सागर से भयभीत होकर मैं आपकी शरण में आया हूँ, आप मेरी रक्षा करें।"
English Summary
Thus meditating he should worship me ; and performing two sacrifices named Aghara by throwing dried twigs boiled in clarified butter and offering oblations consequent there- on, he should perform Homa with articles seasoned in clarified butter taking an oblation with every Mantra accompanied by other principal Mantras and Bers Se Performing properly the Homa ceremony with specia Mantras in honour of Dharma and others, the worshipper should thereafter adore the Deity stationed in fire and then bowing unto Him offer food to His Saati a ae bering Brahman, identical with Narayana, he shou san the mula Mantra. Then giving water to rinse mouth, he should offer the flowers of worship and the portion of the aivedya to Visvaksena, and then take it himself. Then n dedicating fragrant betel leaves, he should adore me sing- ing my praises, dancing, representing my actions, listening to my own themes, and making others hear of them, he should wait quietly for some time. Then hymning me with ancient and ordinary verses, great or small, he should bow down unto me, saying, —“O lord, mayst thou be propitiated with me.” Placing his head at my feet and touching them in order with his two hands, he should say :—‘O lord, being afraid of death and the ocean of worldliness, I seek refuge with thee, do thou save me.”
